Molotov Cocktails (2023) were handed to only six (the 10th, 20th, 30th, 40th, 50th, and 60th) visitors of the To Undiscovered Lands project.

 

Each bottle contains the information about the emotional, physical, and legal constraints experienced moving from the Netherlands to Belgium as a holder of a Dutch alien permit and a Japanese passport.

 

This charged gesture and its intimate narrative were also partly critiquing the bureaucratic rules that shaped the collaboration with the art residency in which the work was shown. Making the distribution of the Molotov Cocktails (a weapon with an improvised nature used by resistance groups) a symbolic act of resistance.​
