De nieuwe zonderlingen is a group exhibition in Tilburg organised by Mark van Hoek.

De Nieuwe Zonderlingen (2022) is a performance that was held in the entrance hall of a group exhibition. It was the first intervention encountered by visitors. Upon entering, visitors were greeted by a bucket descending onto a table, accompanied by a letter and a bell. They were invited to place a personal belonging into the bucket, and upon filling it, to ring the bell. The bucket would then be hoisted up and then returned, containing an oyster shell (attached with a publication featuring the headshot and name of all the participants of the group show). The performance served as a gesture of celebration, by introducing all the artists of the show and by giving the viewer an oyster shell. Subverting the image of an oyster shell, which is typically eaten at high-class opening events. The performance reimagined the relationship between artist and audience by creating a collaborative environment where both parties exchange.
