De nieuwe zonderlingen is a group exhibition in Tilburg organised by Mark van Hoek.

De Nieuwe Zonderlingen (2022) is a performance staged in the entrance hall of a group 

exhibition. It functioned as the first encounter for visitors. Upon entering, visitors were 

greeted by a bucket descending onto a table, accompanied by a letter and a bell. Visitors were invited to place a personal belonging inside. Once filled, they rang the bell, prompting the bucket to be hoisted up and returned, containing an oyster shell paired with a publication featuring the headshot and name of all the participants of the group show.The performance served as a gesture of celebration by introducing all the artists of the show and by giving the viewer an oyster shell. Subverting the image of an oyster shell, which is typically eaten at high-class opening events. The performance reimagined the relationship between artist and audience by creating a collaborative environment where both parties exchange.
